Heather Boorman, MSW, LCSW

Heather is the founder of Boorman Counseling and works as a therapist, ceo, speaker, and author for the practice.  She specializes in working with families living with the joys and challenges of atypical developmental needs.  Heather is also a certified EMDR therapist and utilizes this effective therapy daily to help people heal from traumatic experiences and unhelpful beliefs. In her free-time, Heather enjoys spending time with her husband & 3 kids, playing & listening to music, writing, hiking, traveling, and playing table-top games.

Heather generally utilizes an eclectic approach, rooted in acceptance and commitment therapy, to meet people where they are while gently encouraging them toward continued growth and wellness.

Jonathan Boorman, MA, LMFT

Jonathan works as a partner and therapist for the practice.  He has extensive experience working with adults, children, and adolescents in both clinical and school settings.  Jonathan specializes in working with teens and couples.  When not in the therapy office, Jonathan enjoys spending time with his wife and 3 kids, cooking, reading, napping, and staying connected to his English roots.

Jonathan combines traditional methodologies and current neurological research to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to building on each client’s strengths.

Kimberly McDonald, MSW, LCSW

Kimberly is a licensed clinical social worker and partner in the practice.  She has in-depth knowledge and experience working with adolescents and adults in the area grief and loss, life transitions, depression, and anxiety.   Kimberly is committed to meeting clients where they are at to identify achievable goals by the use of compassion and active listening.  Her style is to use a multifaceted therapy approach including grounding and mindfulness techniques, and acceptance therapy. Kimberly enjoys spending time with her family, cycling, hiking, horseback riding, traveling, and gardening.  

 

Katie Robinson, MS, LPC

Katie has in-depth experience working with individuals who experience eating disorders and body image issues, shame/low self esteem, postpartum depression, trauma, and anxiety. She believes that each client is unique and therefore deserves to have an individualized treatment approach. Katie utilizes her therapeutic skills to best match each clients needs. During her free time Katie enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, making art, reading, taking adventure hikes, and practicing her mindfulness skills. 

Katie utilizes mindfulness techniques, elements of Dialectical Behavior Therapy,   grounding techniques, and art therapy within her practice.

Angela Scott, MSW, LCSW

Angela is a licensed clinical social worker and has experience working as a school social worker and as a medical social worker in a hospice setting. Angela believes that each of her clients deserve to be treated as unique and she uses a variety of techniques to meet her client's needs. Angela has worked with a many people in her professional career including children, teens, families, and adults who are terminally ill. Angela feels that it is important to meet people where they are at and to provide compassionate and competent therapy to help client's meet their goals. When Angela is not working she enjoys snowboarding, camping, playing piano, traveling, and spending time with her husband and daughter.
